Tests showing listeria. Please help

My tests show 1/8 and I/m terrified. I'm almost 30 weeks.

Did anyone had it? How did it go?

Listeria?? That’s a food poisoning pathogen

It's a bacteria that can affect fetus.

Are you symptomatic, what led to the testing?

Can the medical professional who diagnosed you not tell you what's happening?

No symptoms. I just tested periodically. I discussed now and I have to see a dr specialized in infections. It appears the value is not very high. But still I'm panicking like crazy until I see the doctor.

why are you testing?

OK it's really not usual to test through pregnancy for listeria. Do you have anxiety?

1 is the borderline indicator.

What exactly are you testing? Are you swabbing something? Or blood?

I've never heard of someone self testing for listeria, why have you been doing it, are you more likely to be exposed to it for some reason?

I didn't even know you could get a home test for this?

I think it only harms the baby if you get quite ill with it, surely you'd be symptomatic if that's the case...?

I’m assuming you are aren’t in the UK? I can only suggest speaking to the specialist/your Dr.
