Hi everyone!

I am 11 weeks 3 days!

Last night me and my SO had sex. Straight after I went to the toilet and wiped and there was pink spotting.
I didn't think much of it and assumed I just irritated the cervix etc.

But today I've had brown discharge whilst I was out shopping.

I'll attach an image of my knickers so I'm sorry for TMI!

I tried contacting my doctors on Friday about another issue and they said I need to be in contact with my midwife so I called my midwife services and they told me I wasn't allowed personal contact with the midwife!

So who do I contact? It's all been so confusing for me with little help.

Have a lovely day! Grin

When I had spotting I got nowhere with my doctors, midwives or epu. They all palm you off to someone else. I was told to go to a&e. I ended up booking a private scan who said if they found anything wrong they refer me to epu themselves. Luckily mine appeared to be irritation/ external bleeding from extra blood flow to the vagina or even potentially thrush. So luckily didn't need to be referred but was nice knowing they would, if needed be. Mine was with ultrasound direct, cost me £55 for a quick assure scan but got so much back from them, amazing service & even little videos of baby. (I'm almost 14 weeks, was 13+4 at the scan)

Thanks for your reply!

It's unreal how little help you get when you need it! I'm just in panic mode and will be until I get some help.

Was yours anything like I had?

I don't feel crampy at all.

I'm looking into booking a private scan. My 12 week scan is a week away but a week of worrying!

Attached images of what mine was like. It was only when I wiped. I was worried as mine looked like newer blood.

Yours is brown, which is old blood so I'm assuming wouldn't be an awful thing and the fact it followed sex, it's likely you've irritated your cervix or something. I hadn't had sex in 4 days when mine began so was confused what would have caused it. But I do appear to have thrush now 🤦🏼‍♀️.

I had spotting and I was seen by EPAU but was 17+6. They do say dec can irritate your cervix so since it’s happened after that and if you havent had anymore and no cramping I would put it down to that.

But for peace of mind I would deffo contact your EPAU for advice if you tell them you’re spotting and you’re worried they should get you in for a scan. My trust do reassurance scans for unexplained bleeding so sure they should all be the same. If not ring 111 and explain and go to A&E but definitely ring your EPAU Or midwife unit first .

I think you’ll be fine but hope all is okay I know how worrying it can be x
