What rituals/classes/extra things do you do just for yourself that make pregnancy that little bit more enjoyable?

Struggling to enjoy pregnancy this time round but don't want to regret feeling this way. Looking for positive things to help switch my mindset.

It’s ok not to enjoy pregnancy. Not enjoying pregnancy doesn’t mean the baby is unwanted/unloved, that you won’t be able to love or connect to baby or that you’re a bad mum. It’s ok to admit that pregnancy can take a toll, you don’t enjoy it but want the end result. You’ll only regret not enjoying it, if you feel you have to enjoy it.

I’m first trimester with my second and I don’t have time for anything!! I’m just trying to survive it as best I can.

  • let yourself eat the junk food without guilt; food is food
  • keep an eye on The Baby Academy for their free classes, they’re really good
  • let yourself buy some cute clothes for you and for baby
  • plan an outing to browse baby things
  • invite your friends out for coffee/games/whatever YOU enjoy doing with them
  • remember that if you don’t enjoy the physical experience of pregnancy that’s totally fine and doesn’t make you a bad parent

Pregnancy yoga, mum to be massages, buying little baby items every few weeks, rubbing cream on bump each night, buying nice bits over time for hospital bag.
