Hey everyone :)

Im currently 40 + 1 weeks with my 2nd. I had my first at 40 + 2 weeks.

I had a sweep on Monday and had a bloody show on Wednesday. Had lots of braxton hicks this pregnancy (didn’t get any with my 1st)

I had another sweep on Friday and had another bloody show this morning and continued to lose more mucus through out the morning along with cramps and the odd period pain.

I have been booked in for an induction on Oct 15th but really don’t want to go down that route.

did anybody else experience 2 bloody shows and went into labour naturally? I’m getting a bit impatient with the waiting game now, I was adamant she was going to come earlier then her brother with it being my second

Thank you :)

Hello! How are things progressing along??

I was keen for baby not be delivered too late, as I had gestational diabetes and didn’t want to take any risks.

At 40+2, I had a sweep done. (I was about 1cm dilated already) Prior to that, I had slowly been losing my mucus plug everyday, from 40 weeks exactly, and on the morning before my sweep, I had a bloody show. Following on from the sweep, I bled a bit. Then suddenly, within an hour later, I was GUSHING blood non-stop. I had to be taken into hospital again via paramedics. 😅 They never found out the cause of the bleeding, but around 4pm that day, contractions slowly began. Around 8:30pm, I was 3cm dilated, still 3cm at midnight. So midwife then broke my waters, and I then went into active labour immediately. Baby born 5 hours later.

Good luck!!
