Hi are cyclizine hydrochloride 50mg definitely safe in pregnancy? Only I've received them and the leaflet says do not take when pregnant or breastfeeding, which I am both ?!

Hi OP, I got prescribed these by my GP when I had terrible first trimester nausea. They did definitely take the edge off, although didn't eradicate the feeling entirely. I think GPs are a little reluctant to prescribe drugs like this as obviously due to medical ethics they can't specifically test them on pregnant women (or so I believe, happy to stand corrected) but I have a few friends who took this drug and neither they or myself had any untoward side effects. Hope they work for you!

I had them for a few days during awful first trimester. Helped but completely floored me and made me very drowsy I couldn’t function.Switched to another med after that.

I had cyclizine both tablets and IM injections when I was really ill. It's the first line med for morning sickness. It made me super drowsy for a few hours but is safe to take.

It's the first line treatment for severe morning sickness but didn't do much for me - I'm now on a combination of two different drugs. This website has a lot of useful information https://www.pregnancysicknesssupport.org.uk/get-help/treatments/. Hope you feel better soon, it's not much fun!
