I had my last period 4th August 2023, according to my app we accidentally did the deed the day before ovulation, weren't trying to get pregnant, oops! I've just missed my second expected period, tested twice a week, different brand tests including clearblues, and only just got the faintest positive test I've ever seen! (Tesco cheapo) Enough my OH could see it, but only by squinting! Tested again and sure enough still a faint positive!
However I am concerned its taken this long to get a positive test, and it not be very strong. It did take about 7 weeks for my first to test positive, but I wasn't testing regularly and the positive came on a clear blue digital as 4+ weeks, my other pregnancys were all early birds so the faintness isn't unusual, but usually I hadn't even missed my period. My periods have become irregular this year, with the one prior being a 45 day cycle, couple of shorter ones, but put it down to how stressful life is rn and pcos.
Was wondering if anyone else experienced a delayed positive and what it meant? I've had experience with miscarriage so obviously is a worry, but it's not like it's suddenly got faint it's only just shown up.
I plan on getting a digital test soon when funds are available, haven't registered it with gp yet but I'm sure they'll go bonkers at me with being "8 weeks along" but surely that wouldve shown up a few weeks ago. Could be due anytime between early May and late June at this point!
Thanks for any help!
