1st vs 2nd pregnancy symptoms

Hey 😊

so I’m roughly 7 weeks pregnant on baby number two 🙏🏼 my baby boy is 13 months old and my pregnancy with him was amazing nothing to complain about no sickness nothing!!!!!

But this time I feel awful since this week.
headache
nauseous
dizziness
tired
just not right at all

i went to my doctor last week for my first visit with her and she did the usual blood work and urine check she called yesterday to say I have a urine infection with I presume is a UTI which ive never had before so I’m on an antibiotic now to sort this but could this be why I’m feeling so awful or am I just not going to get as lucky this time 😂😂

I'm 17 weeks pregnant with my second, my son is now 18 months old. I've definitely found this pregnancy so much harder! Had much more sickness and worse exhaustion in the first trimester and now got a pretty big bump for only 17 weeks and all the hip and back pain has started quite early. Obviously having a toddler to look after as well makes it much harder!
But your symptoms may be all related to the UTI so hopefully you're feeling better after treatment!

ya I’m hoping I steer to feel better only on the antibiotics 24 hours now so hopefully tomorrow I’ll see improvement 😊

@Michaelawoods thanks! Congrats and good luck to you too! I definitely felt better once the first trimester was over and the sickness went so hopefully that's the case for you too!

@Michaelawoods how you feeling now? I’m 5 weeks post c-section never had a proper uti but started feeling dizzy two weeks ago and turns out today I have a uti never knew dizziness was a symptom!

@flowers246 it’s so weird isn’t it. So many symptoms that you wouldn’t know about. I’m all good again. The antibiotics were making me feel so sick but once I finished them I was all good. Had my first scan 2 weeks ago and got my urine tested and all clear thank god.

how are you managing with the pain from the c section ? It’s a tough one to get through.

@Michaelawoods yep very strange! It’s a very strange feeling too like you’re ‘floating’ is how I explained it the doctor!

@flowers246 probably half way through if not nearer the end. It probably didn’t help me that the antibiotics were making me so sick 🤢

I’m on my third pregnancy and they have all been different.

DD1(9) - I felt horrendously sick for weeks and barely ate anything. I got a UTI with her.

DD2(3) - barely any symptoms at all. Two or three waves of nausea but that was it. Beautifully clear skin!

DS(16w pregnant now) - felt really sick again until I ate but also massive food aversion. My skin is awful and I look like a hormonal teen!

@Michaelawoods yep they are me too, I’m also on some for a womb infection! :( I finish my antibiotics tomorrow for urine infection so hoping it eases for me today. Hoping I don’t have to go back for more!
