Consultant Appointment - What to Ask?

What should I be asking? I didn’t see a consultant until about wk 36 with my last pregnancy so was at the final hurdle so to speak but had raised BP in final trimester for all my 3 previous pregnancies.

This one I have raised PI in the uterine arteries which can lead to pre eclampsia, iugr and premature birth. So obviously some questions need to be asked about that.

My suggestions:

• what are they concerned about and what's the plan for monitoring
• how does this affect birth planning (or maybe say what you want and ask if they have any concerns about it)
• signs and symptoms for you to look out for, and any special instructions you should follow
• if you're a numbers person, you could ask them to quantify your risk of those complications developing
