Hi,
so I’ve previously had 3 miscarriages & im under reproductive medicine at my local hospital.
I found out I was pregnant on 25th Sept (I took a clear blue digital as I just felt unwell) - came back positive 1-2 weeks.
First date of my last period was: 2nd september so I am very early & found out very early.
Anyway, I’m worrying a lot as you would after 3 losses and I’ve been doing tests most days and some lines are fainter than others but I’ve had no really dark positives.
so I took another clear blue digital yesterday (30th sept) and it said ‘not pregnant’ so I thought I’m having a chemical pregnancy. I did two… still ‘not pregnant’.
I did another one this morning and now says ‘pregnant 1-2 weeks’. Alongside this I did a clear blue early (faint positive) and a normal boots one (not early test) positive (slightly faint).
I would be 4 weeks 2 days if I am pregnant.
I just don’t know how to feel or what to do, so very strange.
I will most likely contact my consultant but just wondering anybody’s opinion on this.

Hi @Chloeedwardsx - I'm so sorry to hear you've experienced miscarriages. They're heartbreaking. When is your period due and what time of day are you testing? I only ever tested with my first urine of the day as after that it's very diluted so can give a false negative. I found the Easy At Home tests from Amazon the best as they detect small levels of HCG and you can compare line progression at an earlier stage.

I had an early miscarriage (chemical pregnancy) in July and never got a positive clear blue digital so it's great that you have. I would only test with first urine of the day from now on. I know I didn't start to see darker tests this time around until my period was late. I'm currently 7.5 weeks and hoping this will be our rainbow baby 🌈

Hello. It's so stressful after losses as you look for anything which can be a sign good or bad. I have had two losses so understand to some extent.

I remember testing on my period start date and sobbing over a negative to get a positive two days later. It so tough.

I have read tonnes of people say that it takes longer to get a positive on digital tests vs line tests so maybe that is it.

My midwife used to say to me that all pregnancies are different and until there is a bad sign (ie bleeding) try to say positive.

Good luck and hopefully the consultant will have some answers

Hi,
Thank you so much for this message. It’s funny you say about the Easy at home tests, I ordered some early yesterday morning from Amazon. My period was due on Saturday, tests are clearly positives they’re just not super strong.

thank you again x
