Well it finally happened, my long awaited positives came today! The strip is this morning and first response this evening. Is it too early to contact a midwife as I was expecting my period yesterday? Should I test again in a few days? This is my first pregnancy so I have no idea what I'm doing!

Congrats! Most areas now you do a self refer (online form) to local maternity services, and they’ll get in contact with you to organise your booking appointment, usually when you’re 8-10 weeks. In my area you can only do the form when you’re 5 weeks, but not much point until a bit later as they don’t see you any earlier, and it is still early days for you.
