Hi All,

I’m currently 5 weeks pp, I have this feeling like something is slipping out of my vagina but I’ve looked and can’t see anything. However if I put my finger inside, my vaginal wall feels hard closest to my urethra? Is this normal after birth 🥴 is a prolapse normally soft or can it be hard?

or is it just swelling.

Prolapse are normally soft and feels like bulging bumps. It could be a prolapse if it causes pain and as you described if something is coming down. Possibly be uterine prolapse.

If you can afford it I'd really really recommend going for a 'mummy MOT' with a specialist physio. (Google mummy mot and you should find one who does them in your local area)

When I had mine she told me to look out for a feeling like when your tampon isn't quite in properly. From what you describe it could be some form of prolapse
