Heartbeat but measuring small 6 week scan?

Hello I was referred for an early scan this week to rule out any issues given some pain I’ve been having. I know it is VERY early but I am pretty sure I am 6 weeks based on LMP and ovulation - only measuring 2.2mm although we did see a heartbeat.

Does anyone know what their measurements were this early on? Should I be worried?

Early scans are very inaccurate, if the heart beat was a good rate then I wouldn't be worried at this point.

That sounds promising. I think they said my baby was 2mm at 6 weeks. But didn't see a heartbeat. We did see the heartbeat at 8 weeks (was still measuring smaller than the dates)

I had an early scan at what I thought was 8 weeks… was told measuring only 5.6! I saw heart beat, I was worried but all was well. I had a healthy pregnancy for the most part, then she stopped growing at 36 weeks and I had to have an emergency c section. She was born small 5lbs, but healthy! She’s 1 now.

so not always a bad sign at all. I also bled through that pregnancy a bit, but again, all was ok.

At 6w4d (based on ovulation, I was sure of my dates) they told me the embryo was measuring 3.2 mm, which seemed very small according to everything I read online... but there was a strong heartbeat so they told me not to worry. I was very worried though, as I have a history of recurrent miscarriage. 2 weeks later at 8w3d I was measuring exactly as I should according to my dates, and I have been since (I'm 25 weeks now)! So I don't know if the first measurement was wrong because it was so tiny, or if some embryos take more time than other to develop, but don't lose hope because I think the heartbeat is the most important thing at this stage.

Thank you all so much for replying - I’m holding on to the fact that I saw the heartbeat and things are so small that the margin of error must be huge! I have another scan booked for 8 weeks - fingers crossed. Thank you so much xx

@alaska748 how did your scan at 8 weeks go?

How’d it work out?! This is me and I’m literally having the worst anxiety
