Hi All,
I'm 41 and found out a few weeks ago that we are pregnant again.
We lost our little boy at 20 weeks August (22), it has been incredibly difficult and not something we ever anticipated. I only found out I was pregnant 2 days before going into sudden labour, that was very traumatic and I needed surgery the following day to remove the placenta and then had a funeral to plan (plus my grandpa passed a week later so we had that to plan too)
I took a pregnancy test on the 29th August, BFP 1-2 weeks on the clear blue digital and then on the 5th Sept, BFP 2-3 weeks.
I had a booking in appointment and then had call from a consultant's secretary arranging a scan at EPU last Weds.
I thought I would be around 7 weeks but the sonographer measured around 5 and a half weeks. Yolk sac visible, but no heartbeat as too early.
Never mind already being anxious due to the loss last year, now waiting for a re-scan for the 4th October feels like forever away! Plus, the cyclogest the consultant advised to ask for wasn't given as they said it was best to wait until after the next scan to check everything was progressing. I was a little shocked, so didn't press it, but feel like I should have!
I've had sore boobs on and off, a bit of heartburn and very windy, but they all come and go!
I'm just wondering how you ladies are finding / have found your rainbow pregnancies?
There is a rainbow clinic at my chosen hospital, but I'm assuming I won't be talking too anyone there until I progress. I just find this so anxiety inducing!
Xx 💕
