Magnesium in early pregnancy?

Hello everyone!!

I finally had a BFP after 2 years of trying and two ivf transfers. It’s still very early (6dp5dt) but I’m feeling hopefully after having NEVER seen a second line in my life!

Since the night of transfer I just can’t seem to sleep, and wake up every few hours… I feel like sleep is so necessary at this early stage.

I usually take magnesium to help me sleep. Is it safe in early pregnancy? I’m petrified of taking a wrong step or doing anything to harm my chances of this pregnancy continuing!

It's brilliant in pregnancy. It can help with leg cramps that can happen in late pregnancy. If your worried you could have an Epsom salt bath. Then double check with you HCP.

I'm pregnant after IVF and I've been taking a magnesium supplement all the way through (and when we were trying). It's definitely safe and in fact beneficial.

Congratulations OP!
