Nearly 3 weeks late but all tests are negative

Hi me and my parthave been TTC for little over a year now, i am currently 17 days late but all the tests are coming back negative. I have pcos but ive never been this late before. There is no sign of a period coming but not many symptoms of early pregnancy either. Ive seen that many people with pcos have not gotten their BFP till as late as 10 weeks dpo and i was just wondering what your experiences are with pcos, when did you get your bfp, is there a chance im pregnant currently or is it more likley to be a late/missed period given how late it is with just BFNs?? I dont think i can handle many more negative tests :( and getting an appointment with our GP right now is incredibly hard. Any help, advice or reassurance will be really appreciated

Have you been tracking your ovulation like with temperature? When my PCOS was bad, I sometimes had cycles as long as over 50 days and if I hadn't tracked my BBT, I would have been very confused.

That's not the case OP.

Once the HCG is at a detectable level there will be a positive test.

Unfortunately long cycles are very common with PCOS. Have you also had your thyroid checked, as this can also affect ovulation / cycles?

Yeah ive had my thyroid checked all it normal there, ive spoken to many people witb pcis who have said they didnt get their BFP till as late as 7/10 weeks for whatever reason thats why I mentioned that. It’s unlikely this is pregnancy though :( that being said i have been having horrible headaches and ive been sick a lot today, my chest is a bit sore also so its safe to say were confused in our house 😅 at this point id just like to know what is going on, as i said i have fairly regular cycles between 25/30 day’s usually so this one is rather bizzare

its entirely possible I’ve gotten the dates wrong, the last time we had s*x was 18 days ago, i had some spotting 11 days after that followed by a few other mild symptoms like bloating, sickness etc. if it was that 18 days ago should the test show up by now?

If the spotting was implantation that puts me on day six after implantation

I wonder if the spotting, bloating and nausea are actually signs of ovulation rather than implantation? Unless of course you get a positive test in the next week!
Whenever my PCOS caused really long cycles, I'd always have a bit of break through spotting when I finally ovulated.

I mean it’s possible but that would be a very late ovulation, that would be 4 weeks late for ovulation and ive never been that irregular! Ill keep testing and keep yall updated :) thank you for your responses

Well tested again today and it also looks negative and i feel like it it was positive it would have at least shown a faint line by now. I think its safe to say we weren’t successful this month :(

Okay scratch that there is the FAINTEST line but its not clear like an evap line so were back to confusion. Were going to get a clearblue digital one tomorrow

Which tests have you been using? I got my first reallllly faint positive on those cheap strip tests from Poundland and then used a first response the day after and it was a clear positive

I’ve got pcos and had a 40 odd day cycle the month I caught, so probably ovulated around day 25

Today was a cheap wilkos strip we had, im on day 47 since the start of my last period.

@Crazyplantlady97 I would advise you to buy a First Response Early Response. They are very sensitive.
