Did anyone ever get pregnant using pull out perfectly?

Was just wondering if any of you, or someone you know, has gotten pregnant from using the pull out method perfectly?

I'm not sure how you could tell. If you don't want to get pregnant, use a more reliable form of contraception.

Bemyclementine · 23/09/2023 20:49

Loads of people I imagine.

Stressedoutforever · 23/09/2023 20:52

Yup, he's 5 months old now

CrappyBarbara · 23/09/2023 20:54

Yep, he’s a teenager now.

Caffeinequeen91 · 23/09/2023 20:54

Yes

summerisnearlyhere · 23/09/2023 20:55

Yep! We knew I could potentially be fertile, so pulled out, and boom, there I was pregnant!

PinkMoscatoLover · 23/09/2023 20:55

Yep she’s 2 years old now. I even took the morning after pill the very next day in the morning and I still ended up pregnant🙃

Abfab63 · 23/09/2023 20:56

Me and I have a two year old.

PickledScrump · 23/09/2023 20:57

Everyone I know that has used the pull out method. 😂 not a reliable method of contraception at all.

Dacadactyl · 23/09/2023 20:58

It's our only form of "contraception" and has been for 17 years. Its been reliable for us.

We have 2 kids (one unplanned, when he didn't pull out... so not perfect use) and the other (who was planned), when the not pulling out was deliberate.

Never been pregnant except for those 2 times and I'd say we were both quite fertile (got pregnant first time we had sex after deciding on number 2 and didn't even know it was the right time of the month).

staybyyou · 23/09/2023 21:00

Yeah, my bestie has a 5 year old via that method of 'contraception'.

Annvdb · 23/09/2023 21:03

oh wow quite a lot of people already! I asked because we have been using this first for 5 years, went well, decided to get pregnant and got pregnant in some months after not pulling out anymore.
Then started again and got pregnant only when he didnt pull out once perfectly. But were very happy with the pregnancy non the less :)

Just wondered how common it would be with people on here, if used perfectly, as some websites online write it to be as safe as condoms when used perfectly.

Yeah, me, he's 2. We did it 'perfectly'.

GodDammitCecil · 23/09/2023 21:06

The pull-out method is the worst of both worlds, surely. Sub-standard sex and an ineffective method of contraception. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Edited

it just feels SO much better than condoms tho ...with condoms I thought something was wrong with me because i gave birth maybe. It just doesnt feel very good and is more like a slippery slide. Then we tried without condom and I was so relieved because it felt normal again😅

@Annvdb you have to really trust him when he says he doesn't want more kids tho!

The only person I know who has successfully used the pull out method as contraception also eventually needed IVF to conceive. I remember her talking enthusiastically about how effective it was as contraception and encouraging us all to ditch the pill in our twenties!

Dacadactyl · 23/09/2023 21:14

@Annvdb if you're not sure about more kids and you know for sure he wants more, I wouldn't do it if I were you!

Foxglovers · 23/09/2023 21:22

Yes! Mines nearly 4!

yeah that can def happen! Some people who are infertile and think its working well. For some its working for forever , like the lady above 17 years unless she wanted a kid and didnt pull out. And us also,5 years except when we wanted to get pregnant. My grandparents also unless they wanted the kids. Had 2 then did pull out rest of their life.

its hard because I dont want to take hormones, I def dont want any device shoved up there either. And condoms feel shitty XD. But maybe I can use condoms then in the fertile window. Pull out outside fertile window.

We did that along with temperature-taking and cycle tracking. I now have a lovely daughter.

I should have known better, especially with my ex (the less said the better), but I was young, stupid, horny, and couldn't tolerate hormonal contraception.

I have a semen allergy yet my ex refused to use condoms. I knew within 30 minutes that I'd caught some pre-cum 🙄

Goldfishonabike · 23/09/2023 21:32

We’ve used the pull out method all through our 13 year relationship. Got two kids, both when we were trying to get pregnant, the fist did take 5 months to conceive and the second happened in first try. So maybe we just aren’t so fertile but not sure. Had one unplanned pregnancy prior to being with DH and that was when having unprotected sex and no pull out (don’t ask). Had a termination, that was mid-twenties shortly before meeting DH. But obvs the pull out method is very unreliable in general, it just works for us. I don’t want to take hormones and don’t want a coil and condoms feel shitty. I’ve decided that if I was to get pregnant unplanned that’s fine, we just have another child. If we don’t, we don’t (which is more likely). If I felt very strongly that another child would be the end of the world, I wouldn’t use the pull-out method.

OnlyOpenMouthToChangeFeet · 23/09/2023 22:03

You're asking a rhetorical question... If the pull out was - as you call it - "perfect", there would be no pregnancy.

But as is apparent from this thread, many have still fallen pregnant using this so called method "perfectly".

Therefore, no such thing as a "perfect" pull out method.

People just need to engage their brains, as well as their loins!!
