Hi,
found out I am pregnant with baby #3 - yay! 5 weeks 3 days according to nhs dates. I woke up this morning to browny watery discharge when I wiped, then nothing and then some watery pinky discharge when wiping. No significant blood lost or excruciating cramps just a little crampy here and there, feels like a pulling cramp.

I rang the midwife to see if they had any advice but of course being early it’s just a waiting game to see what happens as EPU don’t see you until 6 weeks.

I had an early MC 4 years ago (probably around the 4 week mark) and I did have some brown discharge followed by god awful pains and passed baby so I’m hoping this same thing isn’t going to happen again.

Any positive stories with spotting early on? I can’t remember if I ever went through spotting with my 2 past full term healthy pregnancies so of course worrying this is going to end badly.

thanks everyone :)

Hey, I had spotting and some cramping at 6 weeks, was referred to EPU and had an internal scan which showed everything was okay thankfully. They advised to keep an eye on it and if the cramps got worse or bleeding increased to go back but it's been okay since then, now 9 and a bit weeks. I hope everything is okay for you too, mine lasted 2 days then went. The doctor said it might be the baby implanting properly into the uterus lining. You're just a few days off where I was at that time so it could be that for you too? Fingers crossed! Keep an eye on it and call EPU again once you hit the 6 week mark if you're still concerned x

@GB91 So glad everything seems to be as it should for you!🤍. According to some ‘5 week symptoms’ cramps and spotting can occur at this point. Just always worrying when you get a bit of brown/pink discharge isn’t it. Hopefully all is ok and if continuing or gets worse by Monday I shall give EPU a ring. Hope the rest of your pregnancy goes amazing for you, congratulations! X

Yes 100% I get the worry, I kind of was sitting on the fence about contacting the GP when it happened to me but when it continued on the second day I thought let's see what they say, and 111 online advised contacting them so I went for it and it was reassuring! Thank you, I hope for you everything works out too and a happy healthy pregnancy ahead!x
