Failed sweep - has anyone went into labour after?

I was due 4 days ago. My MW attempted a sweep 39+6 and could just reach my cervix due to it being posterior.

I have been in this afternoon for another attempt at 40+4 and she could reach it but she said she couldn’t get in to do the sweep. But it is starting to get there she said I was around 1/2cm but still has to class it as closed. Anyways she said even just doing that can sometimes spur on labour to start? Has this ever happened to anyone. I want to avoid induction if possible.

Yes I went into labour naturally after failed sweep - I had the sweep around 1 week after due date, didn't work due to midwife being unable to reach cervix, was booked in for induction but went into labour spontaneously 10 days after due date.

This is good to hear, thanks! I’m due to have another attempt at a sweep in a few days then they said a few days after that they want to book me on for an induction.
