9+5 - symptoms fading?

I’m 9 weeks + 5 and have had pretty strong symptoms especially last week, I had nausea most days with some vomiting in the evenings as well as tender nipples/sore boobs and feeling incredibly fatigued.

This week I’m noticing my nausea has lessened a bit, I still feel quite sick when hungry and in the evenings but the all day sicky feeling is easing. My boobs are less sore although still feel full. I am incredibly tired but I’m not sleeping well either (despite being tired and going to bed at 7pm)!

Would you be worried by this? I’ve read mixed things that it could be placenta taking over or it could be a sign of miscarriage. I’ve had no bleeding or major cramping. I had a scan at 6 weeks and saw a heartbeat but I know this was early.

Hi @itscurtainsnow
I wouldn't be worried hun. You're not far off from the second trimester, your first trimester tough bit is starting to get better. Congratulations on your pregnancy xx

I haven't got confirmation to say all is ok with me but this has happened to me too, I'm about 10+4 and I've had far less symptoms for the past week. I think it's the placenta taking over at this point x

I have this also, heartbeat and 7w and very sick last week. This week like you said I'm slightly queasy esp when I don't eat and in the evenings. I'm also wrecked but wake up throughout the night alot. I've a scan on Saturday should be 9w +6d then and I'll update. I do hope everything is OK so worrying when you don't know

TTCbaby2023 · 20/09/2023 15:26

@itscurtainsnow The same happened to me but at 8 weeks and a bit when symptoms started to be on and off. Breasts less sore but then it came back, then went again etc. Constantly switching in intensity. That to happen in week 9 is totally normal. The intensity may creep back up or not as you are approaching the end of the first trimester. In my case I completely panicked due to a previous MC but it turned out ok. I will be 14 weeks tomorrow even though I am still anxious of course!

I'm now almost 17 weeks. My symptoms were completely gone around exactly this time (between 9-10) and came back with a vengeance. I wish I didn't complain hahaha! I noticed that symptoms fluctuated like crazy!

Olika · 20/09/2023 15:35

I wouldn't worry. My symptoms lessened around same time as yours and I went for a scan and all was fine. It was scary as I kept thinking I am going to mc again. As long as you don't get heavy bleeding and pain it should be ok.

Suchardchoccy · 20/09/2023 16:11

From my two experiences it's normal. Symptoms start easing around that time and it sounds as if it's happening by the book for you, in my opinion. Like a pp said, enjoy the weaker symptoms! All the best for your pregnancy and beyond!

Hi @itscurtainsnow 👋🏽

Exactly the same happened to me (I could have literally wrote every single symptom you did word for word!!) I had a scan at 9 + 3 due to the worry (I was monitored under recurrent miscarriage clinic so they agreed to scan me) and all was fine! So please try not to worry at this stage. I was told the same about symptoms subsidising towards second trimester too but just couldn’t believe it could go from something so clear and obvious to a little vague but it sure can! Felt lucky for a few days but occasionally it does come back with a vengeance so also be prepared for that too ha!

Currently 11 weeks + 5 and it’s pretty much the same with my 12 weeks scan on Monday!

Good luck ❤️

Had the exact same as you felt loads better from 9 works and I’m 38 weeks this week. Placenta is taking over, try not to worry if you can.

Thanks everyone for the reassurance! I may have spoken too soon as I’ve been very sick today 😀 I’m not sure if I’m disappointed or relieved!

@itscurtainsnow It's great news ;-) Didn't someone say that they might come back with a vengeance? 😉

roro87 · 21/09/2023 20:11

@itscurtainsnow mine came back yesterday evening and reached such a point today I'd to log off work
