Breastfeeding and pregnancy?

Hello just found out I'm 4 weeks pregnant! Excited but nervous. I had one miscarriage before we conceived my daughter.

What are the chances of me having another one?
Also I'm breastfeeding her once before bed. I've heard mixed reviews that breastfeeding can cause miscarriage. Is this true?

I breastfed overnight and a bit in the day until maybe 12 weeks, then gave in to the total breastfeeding aversion and stopped going cold turkey. It was horrible but I suddenly was repulsed by it and just couldn't make myself do it any more.

Forgot to say congratulations!

I'm still bf my toddler and I'm 15 weeks pregnant. I told my midwife at booking and she didn't mention a link. The sore nipples after the first few weeks were intense though! 😳

I breastfed my DD until I was about 18 weeks pregnant, when it seems my milk dried up and she lost all interest.
I also discussed still bf with the midwife and she didn’t say there were any risks to me continuing.

I breastfed until I was just under 20 weeks and never had issues. I stopped as I wanted to when my son turned 2 and to have some rest before I gave birth again.

Congratulations OP.

I had recurrent miscarriages when TTC my first.

I got pregnant again when my first was a year old and I was still breastfeeding morning and evening. I had a full term healthy pregnancy and I stopped breastfeeding when I was about 15 weeks and my milk basically dried up.

Hi OP!

Congratulations - I found out that I am pregnant and about 4 weeks too.

I am currently breastfeeding 18 month old round the clock so can definitely share your worries!

From what I've read there is conflicting information but my SIL is a midwife and said there are so many mums that breastfeed and have successful pregnancies.

Thankyou everyone ❤️ just finding it so hard to get excited at the moment 😪 thought I would be less anxious this time round but its worse! Can't wait for the first scan but it's so far away!
