Hi everyone. For backstory I was diagnosed with hyperthyroid at 22 weeks pregnant out the blue and found a couple weeks later the cause was active Graves’ disease. (I had no idea I had this). I was put on 10mg carbimazole to start with and I have 3 extra growth scans booked for 3rd trimester. My medication has been increased a few times, I’m now 30 weeks and 6 days gestation and my thyroid levels are still too elevated so Ive now been put on 25mg of carbimazole. All consultants have been brilliant so far. I see the joint endocrine and antenatal every 2 weeks as well as been having bloods done every 2 weeks To monitor my thyroid. (Which I’m glad they’re keeping a close eye on me). Just wondered whether any one else has experience of this or their thyroid levels being totally out of wack in pregnancy especially in 3rd trimester and what that meant for baby when born. Thanks x
