Early Ultrasound

Did anyone’s else’s early ultrasound scan measure the baby as earlier than expected? And did this change when getting a scan later on? I thought I was 7 weeks +6 but the scan measured baby at 6 weeks +3 - this was last week, I’m now technically 7 weeks +1 according to the scan but I feel like I’m further along. Anyone else had a similar experience?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I was similar with both of mine, out by 3 or 4 days each. Gave birth at 40 weeks and 40+1 according to scan dates so seems they were more accurate than me haha!;

was it a tummy scan or internal? it can make a huge difference at this gestation

Raysalexandra · 19/09/2023 01:01

@satellitesunshine it was an external abdominal scan!

Yep. My first scan I shouldve been 6+ 5 and they dated me at 5+4 but they did see a heartbeat.

I had a scan at 8 weeks which then put me at 7+3 and then 12+5 when they actually dated me 12+6.

I'm currently 29 weeks pregnant now!

Same as you OP. Expected to be 7 weeks and was told I was 6. Then when I went for my 12 week scan, I was a week ahead again.
