Measuring a week behind and very worried

Hello!

I had an early scan at 7 weeks yesterday, but the sonographer measured me at 6 weeks. She couldn’t see the heart beat. Then said I had to get blood tests to confirm I was still pregnant. I’m a little confused and stressed out as she didn’t really explain to me what was going on.

I definitely didn’t make a mistake with my dates, I was tracking my ovulation.

im not sure if this is definitely bad news or if there is another reason I could be measuring a week behind.

I would take another pregnancy test. The line will fade pretty quickly if the pregnancy isn't continuing.

It's a shit feeling. I've had early miscarriages several times. The lines would fade and disappear within a few days. I would try that first instead of waiting for a blood test.

early scans often are out by a week or so. I went when I thought I was 7+6 and she put me 6+5 . At 6 weeks too sometimes there isn’t a heart beat yet. I would do the blood tests and get another scan in a week or so which I am sure they will offer you??
