Bleeding for a week at 7 weeks pregnant

I started spotting just over a week ago and thought it was normal as I spotted for 5 weeks when I was first pregnant with my daughter. However, since yesterday it was become more like fresh blood and it’s definitely not spotting anymore. I have a scan at the EPU on Monday but I’m just looking for some experiences with bleeding in early pregnancy. Most posts I’ve read are women who have had a one off bleed and not consistent bleeding :( just looking for some positive stories really, even though I’m not feeling very hopeful

Hear to send internet hugs and give you a hand to hold 💖
I’m currently going through something similar, I’ve bled / had brown discharge on & off for about 2 weeks now but since Friday I’ve had blood every day. It only seems to be once a day and then it tails off but it’s like specs of blood in my discharge sorry for the tmi. I also had bleeding in my first pregnancy with my daughter but this is much more frequent.
I’ve had 2 scans at EPU so far, both a week apart and baby looked like it had only grown 2 days in that time so I’m not hopeful however they didn’t seem concerned but did say because I’ve seen a hb both times there’s nothing they can really do. However I’m back in on Tuesday due to this continuing bleeding. Hope everything goes well for you tomorrow it’s so stressful xx

@clr1010 gosh that must have been so awful ! Congratulations on your pregnancy, how exciting to be so close to meeting your little one ❤️

@Rosequartzz I had a successful pregnancy and she’ll be 4 months old next week :) I continued to bleed on and off but they put it down to an ectropion on my cervix which I had with my first baby as well xx

@clr1010 So sorry to hear about your miscarriage but so pleased you’re due your little one very soon 🩷x

Congratulations @katie416 ! That's such incredible news, for you both.

I've had on off spotting of various type, just on hold to speak to maternity team x

@Rosequartzz You’re doing absolutely the right thing by getting seen, I hope it all goes well for you. It’s terribly scary when it happens but it’s not always worse case 🤞🏼 both my pregnancies I had bleeding from spotting to full on bleeds and both babies were completely fine x

Thank you @kkatie416 all was well on the scan, I have subchoronic hematoma so the bleeding/spotting is expected until it passes

katie416 · 12/08/2024 20:45

@Rosequartzz Ahh so pleased to hear that everything was well lovely, hopefully the hematoma will resolve soon and the bleeding will stop! Sending you best wishes for your pregnancy. That little baba will be in your arms before you know it x
