31 weeks - baby's head engaged?!

I'm 31+3 with my 2nd and have just been discharged from a few days in hospital as I had a show (gross photo attached as I'm confused if it's normal or not) and a day of just old brown blood bleeding.

I had a scan today and she's so low down the sonographer struggled to get measurements as she is head down and engaged.

None of the professionals are worried which is great... but I'm super worried!

I had a feeling she would come early anyway (my son came naturally at 37 weeks on the dot), and now I feel like she might.

I have period like cramps, but otherwise irregular braxton hicks. With my son my contractions were over 10 mins apart until he was born, I had no idea I was in labour until I found out I was 6cm dilated, so worried I won't realise if I'm in labour or not again.

Anyone else have this at 31 weeks and had baby early or full term?

Babies are less likely to engage early in a subsequent pregnancy but it’s not uncommon, it’s also very normal for the head to come back out so she may not stay engaged. Also babies head engaging doesn’t have any relation to labour happening.

I was convinced my second would come early, she was 40+2.

Just a little update... she arrived perfectly healthy in October 2023 at exactly 37 weeks 🙌 in a mind boggling 6 minute labour xx
