Was your gender scan at 16 weeks right?

Just this really! Was your gender scan at 16 weeks right? I know a few people who have had them done and got told it was a girl and out popped a boy. Wondered what your experience was around this time in pregnancy with gender scans 😀

It’s not a gender scan though is it. They can tell you what they think it might be but it’s not gospel. It’s a scan to check the baby is growing ok and to see if everything is alright.

Mine was wrong. Told 99% sure a boy. Then at 32 weeks when i asked if they could double check if their was a willy they told me definetly a girl (and she was!)

Isn't that the 20 week anomaly scan though? Maybe OP means a private scan to discover sex (not gender) at 16 weeks.

Yes I had mine at 14 weeks

You can book private scans at 16 weeks specifically for that reason

Mine was wrong at 17 weeks. Was told it was 'most likely a girl' was very obviously a boy at 20 weeks.

Yes my private gender scan at 16 weeks told me she was a girl… and she is!

Sex was correct with both of my two at 20 weeks.

Mine were right, both times.

Yea with all 3 but I think it’s easier to identify boys rather than girls!

Yes ours was, had a 16 week scan last month and confirmed girl in 20 week scan by nhs xx

Unfortunately not guaranteed. I know someone who was told girl at 16 weeks and it wasn’t until a growth scan at 36 weeks found out it was actually a boy.

Mine was wrong! Was told boy at private 16 week scan and then at 21 week NHS scan, they (correctly) said girl.

I’ve been told at 18 weeks, twenty weeks, 28 weeks and 30 weeks but I still won’t beleive it until baby is here.
