Is this my waters?

been having a strong urge to pee all night. Been leaking since 8:45pm. Only when I stand up though. Period cramps and really strong urge to pee all the time.

have soaked three pads in an hour, looks clear and I don’t think it smells like pee but my partner says it does!

im 39 weeks exactly today! Really don’t want to go the hospital if I’m just peeing myself!

Period cramps are how both my labours started and it would be unusual for you to be wetting yourself with no idea you're doing it. With stress incontinence you usually know you're doing it you just can't stop it.
With my first I woke up soaked and thought my waters had gone but it was my plug liquefying in preparation for labour and it came out as very watery discharge.
I'd be inclined to err on the side of caution and give the labour ward a ring, probably best to get checked out and it not be waters than not get checked out and potentially risk infection if it is your waters and you don't subsequently go into labour.
Good luck x

Midwife here - pop another pad on and give your local maternity assessment unit/labour ward a ring, you need an assessment to decide if it’s your waters. Hope you’re cuddling your baby soon 😊

I posted the exact same question about 19 years ago, a few hours later I was a Mum for the first time.

As someone on that thread said you don’t suddenly become incontinent and start peeing yourself.

Get yourself into the Labour ward and best of luck x

Sounds like it could be your waters. I also thought I had wet myself when mine broke which I'd not done once through my whole pregnancy! It was quite an odd feeling. It just kept on coming and then my contractions started!

Did you do antenatal classes? In ours we were told explicitly to come in and get checked. Once your waters break they want the baby born within 24 hours due to risk of infection etc
