Hey all!

Im 40 weeks tomorrow and have booked myself in for a acupuncture session on the weekend.

Has anyone tried acupuncture for induction and if so how did you find it? Did it work?

The lady said considering how far along I am, I may only need the one session, so hoping she is right. Is it painful?

I had mine at 36 weeks as I was going in for induction at 37 weeks. Not at all painful, and apparently when I went into hospital I was having small contractions and the induction worked. I think it helped me, and I'll go back again this time around

It didn't work for me unfortunately, I went very overdue and ended up with the cascade of interventions. I'm not sure my acupuncturist was very skilled though. There isn't any good evidence for it (at least none I could find) but it's worth a try

Hi both,

Thank you for sharing! So I had a session this afternoon and felt super relaxed. Have definitely felt a surge in baby movements and also tightening but no contractions as of yet.

Fingers crossed let’s see! Xx
