Hi,
MW advised that as my bump measurement had dropped I will need to be referred for a growth scan. She said I will expect to hear from the hospital via phone call within the week - has anyone had similar and if so when were you contacted? and was the scan done shortly after?
Naturally getting a bit paranoid now and hoping it's not going to be weeks before the scan!!
Thank you for any help x

Yes I am in the same boat. My bump measured small at my appt on Monday, and I have been asked to go in today. Midwife arranged the scan by calling them directly and then letting me know as soon as she got through to them

Hopefully it wont be anything longer than a week's wait for you x

I had the same at my 28 week appointment yesterday. They called today and booked me in for Monday. Apparently it’s very common and not a cause for concern. Best of luck to you and your little one ☺️

Had this recently - MW appointment on Weds, call on Thurs from hospital and then scan on Sunday. All was fine, the midwife measurements aren’t super accurate for loads of reasons so hopefully the scan gives you some reassurance

I had this when 36 weeks pregnant with my daughter. The community midwife phoned the maternity hospital and I got a scan appointment straight away- I walked from the GP surgery straight to the hospital. Hopefully you won't have to wait too long. Scan was fine.

Exact same at my 34w appointment on Monday.

It might differ by trust but she said the policy is within 3 days for a suspected small baby and 7-10 for suspected large.

Just chase them up if you haven't heard in a few days but try not to worry.

I had this with my last pregnancy! Baby came out at 8lb in the end and perfectly healthy x

Thank you all!! Hoping to hear soon 🤞🏻

I had one booked at my 38w appointment. It was about two weeks later the appt - but I went into labour the day before the scan and my baby was morn in the morning of the day I was supposed to have the appt! My baby was fine size wise and health wise. The only downside for me really was the worry in between and also because I hadn't had the scan yet, they wouldn't let me labour on the midwifery led unit and insisted I have her on delivery suite instead as they were worried she might be small for gestational age. Obviously I don't know whether that made any difference for me or not but I did end up then having a instrumental birth due to fetal distress and exhaustion but I know that's not uncommon in first births anyway. It was a shock though as nobody had told me that prior to my arrival and assessment at the MLU.

Thank you! Ah bless you that doesn't sound ideal - glad baby arrived safely 😊

I still haven't heard anything so may text midwife tomorrow, trying to not worry!
