Obstetric Cholestasis - itching remedies?!

This is my secnd pregnancy with OC - but the itching this time is driving me crazy.

I feel like I've tried so many different things but nothing seems to be working. My bile acids/ALT's aren't enough to go on medication yet - it's just monitoring.

My midwife has suggested calamine/E45 but they don't really seem to be doing anything.

Has anyone found anything that helped?!

Have you tried coconut oil? I lathered myself in it and covered my skin with towels when I was unable to cope with itching.

Sorry about the itching. I found keeping my skin cold really helped with a fan or cold cloth. I also ordered some menthol cream (Dermacool) on recommendation but went into labour before it arrived - which was annoying because it is expensive. If you don’t get answers here, try the Facebook group for ICP Support, the group members there are very supportive and have lots of suggestions for how to deal with the itch.

Thanks both!

@Greetingsfellows - after posting this I remebered my friend jokingly gifted me a 'bump mask' which is one of those sheet masks but for bump and it has loads of coconut oil on. That actually really helped as I was about to break the skin.

@RiceR1ceBaby - thanks, I will check out the FB group.

I've actually just been to the hospital and they've prescribed me a stronger anti-histamine as I'm not at the levels yet for proper medication. Hoping that also provides some relief.
