Diet in pregnancy - processed foods

I'm 36 weeks pregnant with my second child, this pregnancy I've not been as healthy.. looking after a toddler I've never felt so exhausted!

I'm full of guilt that I'm hurting my baby with the food I've eaten - my other half only cooks rubbish food as Im always doing bedtime with the toddler while he cooks. The amount of times I've had beige food for dinner is ridiculous! I've also had something sweet everyday.

It hasn't helped that I read the Ultra Processed Food book recently, and now feel guilty for eating cereal or bread. Has anyone seen any studies on side effects of UPFs in pregnancy? I've eaten better these past few months as I've struggled putting the toddler down so I've been in charge of dinners, but still not as healthy as I'd like.

I guess I'm looking for reassurance that others in their second pregnancy haven't been as healthy and everything was okay?!

I lived on smash and beans for a lot of my second pregnancy, it was about all I could keep down. DS is now taller than me and in good health (he does have asthma but that's well controlled and I don't believe my diet caused it)

I was so sick when I was pregnant that I could only keep processed rubbish down. My baby was fit and healthy and 7lb 14oz.

you never asked him to prepare something different?
