i had a faint positive on Friday and tested today and got a strong bfp this morning. My period was due Friday based on when i think I ovulated but could have been up until today.

I’ve been fine all day but for the past hour I’ve had moderate lower back pain. It feels like someone is pushing on my lower back, like a heavy pulling feeling and like AF is just around the corner.

I can’t remember this from my first pregnancy and have had early miscarriages and an ectopic before.

no sign of blood yet, just milky white discharge which is a bit mucousy.

has anyone else had dull achy back pain this early on without miscarrying?

I asked exactly the same question because I had that too, and I only remember that feeling when I had a miscarriage at nearly 12 weeks. But I'm 6+3 now and all was fine at 6 week scan so it can be absolutely normal, though I know how scary it feels

How weird is that.... Just noticed you asked on my thread 😂😂

Ah yes I’ve just seen your reply on your other thread too ☺️

thanks for the reassurance, it just came out of no where and has been for a couple of hours but seems to ease up when I walk about a bit.

You should be fine mine would start suddenly then next day nothing then same night start again. But plenty of people said its normal so made me relax a bit

You might have a retroverted uterus. I get very bad backache in pregnancy because my uterus sits towards my back rather than my abdomen. It's nothing to worry about if you do lots of ladies have it this way and by 12 weeks your uterus moves up anyway. It does make for uncomfortable backaches in early pregnancy which is not fun! Congrats on your BFP 🥳

@bringmearainbow I had no idea this could cause backache! I was told at my private scan at 9 weeks that I have a retroverted uterus. I wouldn't say my back has been bad but I definitely had a lot of period like cramps for about a week or so after I found out at exactly 4 weeks. I just couldn't believe it wasn't my period coming as it felt just like it!

@MrsScotland yes I suppose it happens because as you're uterus expands it pushes backwards before starting to go up 🤔 I don't really get front cramps I feel like my backache is all my cramps 😂
