Tested positive on 21dpo with a really dark line, tested 6 days later and it is lighter, should I be concerned? Should I continue to test? Are they supposed to remain dark?

If you tested at the same time of day with the same test, that might be a cause for concern I'm afraid. I used the easy @ home tests and had a very clear line progression. You can get a 'hook effect' where the HCG level is so high that the test can't cope and gives you a lighter line, but I think that would be unlikely at 27dpo.

I'd suggest doing another test in a couple of days and if it's still lighter, speak to your doctor to see if they will do a beta hcg test 48 hours apart (blood test is much more accurate than urine strips)

🤞 for you

Thank you, I’m away at the minute and out of tests so had to test with Premom lh test, does this mean anything? Should be 6 weeks today x

No idea I'm afraid, I was only using the lh tests for ovulation. I had IVF for this pregnancy so even if I had checked my lh levels I'm not sure whether they would have been accurate. Might be worth posting the question on the Premom app, I think I have seen people posting lh tests in pregnancy on there.
