Has anyone conceived whilst ovulating later?

I have always had irregular longer than normal cycles.
I had an ectopic in March resulting in tube removal and my cycles have been a bit up and down since.
Going off my opks it looks like I may have ovulated around CD 26/27 surely that's impossible to conceive? Or maybe that would be about right if this cycle was 39/40 days which would not be unusual for me.
How am I supposed to know if my period is late or to test if my cycles are all over the place?
Has anyone ovulated later and conceived successfully? If so can you remember when you got a faint positive? Thank you 😊

This cycle I ovulated on CD25 and got pregnant. I tested positive at 10dpo but probably would have had one a little earlier if I'd tested with ClearBlue then. Good luck! :)

I charted my cycles when I was trying to conceive DD. I think I ovulated at around cycle day 23 and tested positive around 12-14 days after that. My due date was wrong, although they corrected it after the scan.

I never realised I ovulated so late until I started ttc. Using ovulation sticks I found out I was ovulating on day 24 of a 30/31 day cycle and did worry that I wouldn’t be able to conceive. I wondered if it was a side effect of coming off the pill but it never altered, even years of being off the pill so I guess it’s just me!

I didn’t need to worry because I went on to have 3 children without any difficulty. Ive been lucky that all of them were conceived within a few months of ttc. As long as you’re aware of when you’re ovulating I don’t think late ovulation in itself should cause any issues.

Dont worry, nobody ovulates ‘late’ we all just have different cycle lengths. Most people don’t ovulate on day 14 like the textbook 28day cycle we are taught. Infact very few do! I conceived ovulating on day 21. It doesn’t matter when you ovulate or how long your cycles are. As long as your are actually ovulating you can conceive.

The distance between your period and ovulation day is variable and can be any number of days (can change with stress, illness, lifestyle factors) but the distance between ovulation and your expected period is generally always the same (14 days average but anywhere between 11-15 days) so as long as you are keeping tracking of ovulation by taking opks regularly, you can just start testing 2 weeks after that :)

I usually ovulate between day 21 and 25 and have conceived twice. One resulted in a miscarriage and the other one is work in progress so fingers crossed.

I ovulated day 27 on the cycle I got pregnant (I have long cycles c. 42 days) and am now 7wks so yes it can happen 😊

I used to ovulate day 17/18 of a 31 day cycle, but for some reason when TTC I ovulated day 31 in January/feb (45 day cycle) and then day 25 in February/mar, when I conceived. I tested positive 12 dpo so day 37. They were looong months, but I'm now 28 weeks pregnant.

It's definitely possible! Good luck!

CD 22 I conceived - now 18 weeks. Positive test 10 days after ov.
They had me down as due earlier based on last missed period but it was corrected after scans and pushed back (which I knew it would be)

I’m currently in ttc cycle 3 but have been tracking cycles since the start of the year. I’m interested to see the responses as I’ve always ovulated late CD20-24 so hoping for some positive stories!
