Just wondered what everyone does re washing or peeling potatoes prior to cooking during pregnancy? Do you wash and/or peel or tend to cook straight away?

I’ve just bought these frozen skin-on potato fries. These “skin” part looks very brown so am guessing the potatoes were not well washed prior to preparation.

are they still ok to eat? I know listeria and toxoplasmosis are killed by heat, but just wondering what other people’s thoughts are!

TIA x

They'll be brown because they've been part cooked, not because they're dirty. And they're frozen. Then they'll be cooked at a high temp for a decent amount of time. They will be absolutely fine to eat.
