Hi all,

I’m 39 weeks pregnant today and noticed that every minute or so, I get a surge that goes from my lower abdomen towards my pubic area. It feels like pressure and then stops. I wouldn’t say it’s painful it just feels like something is coming out and then it just goes. Any ideas?

I'm sorry, I don't have any ideas (beyond the obvious that you could be in labour) but you posted this hours ago. Did it stop or is baby on the way?

Sounds like labour OP. Go in and get checked out. Good luck xxx

It eventually stopped in the evening and resorted to dull cramps so I’m not sure if I’m just in a very slow labour but it’s an unusual symptom and I’ve never read about it before. They were weird surges going from my lower belly into my pelvic area. I just hope it’s some sort of preparation going on as being pregnant in this heat is not the one! 🥵

I hope so, I think I may be experiencing a very slow latent labour. The surges changed to dull cramps and they’re not consistent
