29 weeks and heat just feels so oppressive. I’m struggling to do anything let alone function. As soon as the temperature hit a certain point one of my feet seems to swell :(

36 weeks here not had much swelling but lots of headaches and so sweaty between my legs constantly worried about leaving damp patches on chairs! Looking forward to it cooling down next week!

37 weeks and so glad to be working from home and no calls so I could sit in my underwear all day today!

Feel your pain! I am 35 weeks seem
to lose my ankles during the day due to swelling.

33 weeks, no swelling for me but absolutely struggling in the heat. Got a gig this weekend and really dreading it. Been stuck at work all day and people keep telling me I must be struggling with the heat. Taking all I have to bite my tongue

32 weeks and have gestational diabetes, which means I really benefit from having a short stroll after meals. Nighttime’s not so bad but going out after lunch yesterday… 🥵

I am drinking SO much water and just sitting in front of a fan whilst I work.

It’s supposed to be cooler next week though. Thank goodness it’s not been this hot all summer!

Oh gosh that sounds a nightmare.

Yes I am bizarrely grateful for the dull summer.

You have my sympathy - there was a heatwave the last few weeks of my pregnancy (DD now a teen) it was over 30 for weeks. The month before she was born was (at the time) the hottest on record.

Luckily most of it was when I had finished work. I remember eating a lot of ice lollies and hardly having anything to wear. My bump was huge and I hated the sensation of (sorry tmi) being sweaty under the bump as it rested on my lap. I bought a chillow (it was a thin pillow you put in the fridge or freezer) which was good and slept (tried to sleep!) downstairs
Good luck

Filled hot water bottles in the freezer! A game changer

38 weeks and never felt worse. Had such a smooth pregnancy up till now. Now my hands and feet have a swelling feeling but no visible swelling. Feel really restless and constantly uneasy.
I do count myself lucky for the generally smooth pregnancy, just crazy for it to be so different now due to the heat right at the end

33 weeks too and absolutely melting! I'm sure it's accountable for the extra Braxton Hicks but I'm not the best at keeping hydrated either 🥴

40 weeks here.. I can no longer fit into my crocs from the swelling due to the heat (other shoes have been a no go for months) so I am now sock bound until it either subsided or until baby is here 🥴 counting down the days!! MISERABLE 🤣

cupofdecaf · 08/09/2023 20:24

Sit with your feet in a cold paddling pool or even a washing up bowl of cold water.

39 weeks and sweating in places I didn’t think I could sweat 🤣🤣😩😩 my feet have doubled in size and swollen so much that they leave dents when I put pressure on them.

Bring on the rain next week!! I’m so ready for Autumn, colder weather and spicy latte seasonal drinks from Costa!
