Nub Theory vs 20week Scan... Where next?

Hi all -
My nub theory at 12 weeks and 5 days was overwhelmingly boy - infact not once was girl mentioned. This was in a couple of places including popular social media platform with 'expert' admins.

At 20week NHS scan we decided to ask right at the end... initially the baby was not positioned greatly, then sonographer leaned towards girl, then confirmed there are no boy bits. She ended by suggesting she see's the 3 lines. She stuck with girl on the basis that she couldnt see boy bits rather than anything else... Her language wasn't fully convincing , but I think thats just how they are meant to be? She was very chatty throughout the scan.

IS it worth getting it checked again, or should we be confident in the 20 week scan.

We were pretty confident at our 20 week scan that it was a girl but our sonographer sounded confident when she told us.

Yours doesn't sound that certain at all so I think I'd want to get checked again

..hmm - but at the same time I think it was her style... the fact we left with her saying she is going to "stick with girl"... made me feel she is confident but chose her language carefully.

MY DH and I didnt press and say "are you sure are you sure". Because we aren't dissapointed in this (infact DH is head over heels) and guess we both didn't want to give that impression (to the sonographer and each other)

The 20 week scan is much more reliable than nub theory and sonographers often refuse to commit that early on because they are professional and need to be certain. Remember that the fetal sex is the least important thing they check because it is a medical examination but if you want to pay for a private scan to feel happy then go ahead.
