Can anyone help me out my last period was 23-7-2023 which was 8 weeks ago I can't be 8 weeks pregnant. Me and dh had sex of the 8th of August only time in that month so ovulation must of been around then. I want to book a early scan but not sure when for , want to make sure im at least 7 weeks. Thanks 🙂

If you ovulated on 8th August you'll be 6 week exactly today but that is if you ovulated exactly on the 8th x

You count pregnancy dates from the first day of your last period, not from the day that you may have conceived.

I don't know where you get 8 weeks from. 23 July was 6 weeks and 2 days ago.

Unless it's changed it was always counted from the first day of your last period.

Your pregnancy is dated from the first day of your last period. The NHS do not ask or care about when you think you ovulated or when you had sex or even how long your menstrual cycles are. They will literally ask what the first day of your last period was and date it from that. Like a pp said above that puts you around 6.5 weeks. Once you go for your dating scan then if baby is measuring slightly bigger or smaller they will adjust your estimated due date accordingly. Congrats!

(Clear blue will be confusing IMO as they date it differently and give you a date since conception so for example if it’s says 1-2
weeks pregnant then according to the NHS you would be 3-4 weeks. So don’t even go there!)
