6 weeks spotting / cramping

Hi everyone. Sorry if this is a long one but I want to explain properly 😂 I’m about 6 weeks 3 days pregnant today (pretty sure on dates as I was tracking ovulation) and over the last couple of days I’ve had a really achey type feeling low in my tummy, a lot like period pains, feeling like I’m going to come on etc. this morning when I woke up I went to the toilet and there was blood. It was mucousy and pretty dark, basically brown. Ever since then it has lessened and not gotten worse so far, there’s hardly anything there when I wipe now. I’ve been upto EPU and they took my blood to test my hcg levels and have said it was 27,000 so they’re happy to book me in for a scan tomorrow, but when I asked her if those levels were okay she just said ‘we should be able to see something on the scan with that’ not they’re really good at this stage, so now I’m doubting myself as to whether she actually meant 2,700 and whether this is ok 🙈 I know there’s nothing I can do until I go for my scan tomorrow, and possibly that won’t show much as I’m still early so will still be in limbo, but does anyone have any experience at all with this? I’m happy to hear good or bad stories. Also, if you have had your hcg levels checked at 6 weeks and / or a scan, what were they like / what did you see? Can I expect to see a hb if everything is ok? X

I know I’ve had no replies to this but just in case someone comes across this in the future, I just wanted to give a quick update … had my scan today & baby was there all snuggled in with a good heartbeat 💓 I’m actually measuring a couple of days ahead of what I thought but I won’t get my proper due date until I go for my 12 week scan. Only another 6 weeks to go 😅

@katie416 Hii, glad to know your little bean is doing well. I have a 6 week scan on Thursday and super nervous.. what did your scan look like as in the baby and did you hear a heartbeat?

@Huriya Thank you. She measured the baby at 6 weeks 6 days so maybe a little different if you’re only just 6 weeks but it definitely doesn’t look like a baby just yet lol, it’s just like a little bean literally 😂 I didn’t hear the heartbeat but I could see it flickering on the screen. I don’t think she measured the heart rate just said it was present and that it looked regular x
