Hi All,

It is very early days but we had a BFP earlier this week.

I'm 41 and DP is 46. This will hopefully be our rainbow baby after a traumatic loss a year ago.

I already have DD 19 and DS 14 from a previous relationship.

Just wondered how many of you there are here that might want to say Hi, or share your experience.

💐

Hi OP I am 40, I have a 4 year old and have had 3 early miscarriages in the past 2 years. I have recently done ivf and I am currently almost 10 weeks pregnant and so far everything is looking good. I am very anxious considering my history but also trying to remain hopeful. Good luck to you x

Me too. I'm almost 10 weeks. I'm 41 and DH is 46, no other children. Finally pregnant after 8 rounds of IVF. Had a miscarriage 3 years ago so still a little anxious about this one.

Bluesky85 · 03/09/2023 18:59

Congratulations everyone!

Hi @neverenoughwine Congratulations! I am 42 and tomorrow I will be 11 weeks pregnant with my first after a mmc in May. As far as I am concerned this pregnancy has been riddled with fear and anxiety due to the mmc and my age (as things are more likely to go wrong). I'm about to do the NIPT test so that's another obstacle to go through. I'm still cautiously happy.

Me! I'm 41 and I'm 11 weeks

Whataretheodds · 03/09/2023 19:41

Hi!
I'm 42, 18.5 weeks, 3rd pregnancy, 1st to make it past 12 weeks.
Having lots of thoughts and feelings!

Farcry66 · 03/09/2023 19:42

Hey, I'm 41 and 26 weeks - 3rd baby, 1st for my partner (42). My youngest is 9 and I'm finding this pregnancy far more tiring than the last ones! However, I have a fantastic partner who is picking up the slack.

I was worried about the increased chance of miscarriage and of fetal abnormalities but so far everything has gone swimmingly!

Good luck with yours xx

Congratulations, everything crossed for you. The anxiety and fear are stifling aren't they? I've opted for the NIPT too. I had an early booking appointment yesterday, just to check in and get the ball rolling as such. 💗

@neverenoughwine Yes the anxiety is just never ending. I am already a natural worrier and pregnancy just makes it 1000 times worse! I even got a home doppler against all advice as the 2 week wait in between 8 week and 10 week scan was just unbearable. I managed to hear it first time at 9 weeks 5 days. I don't do it often though. I heard it today ahead of my scan tomorrow for the NIPT and I still feel anxious 🤦‍♀️ I probably wouldn't worry as much if I was 10 years younger to be honest.

neverenoughwine · 03/09/2023 23:00

Oh bless you! I hope tomorrow goes well! Sending positive vibes and will be thinking of you xx

@neverenoughwine Thank you! The scan went very well and so far no concerns but obviously this isn't the end of it. I need to wait for the results of the NHS screening tests, the NIPT and the 12 week scan. I've won another battle but not yet the war 😀

neverenoughwine · 04/09/2023 18:37

Yay! Glad it went well. Mini celebration for this positive step forward 😊 xx

Hi yes me, I'm 43 my DH is 46 this will be our 3rd baby. Had a scan this week and have been dated as 6.5 weeks. I had 3 miscarriages in past 2 years so just nervous at mo. This was unplanned and unexpected as we had given up hope and trying so was a shock but one we are getting our heads around whilst not getting our hopes up too high at the min.

Congratulations to all my fellow 40's ladies Flowers
