Anyone else have their 12 week scan this week?

Morning ladies,

Wondering if any one else has their 12 week scan this coming week?

I’m around 12+4 and have my scan on Tuesday! Due around 13th March 2024.

So so nervous as the last few days I haven’t felt as many twinges, cramps or sharp pains in my tummy, but reassured myself with reading online that it’s the placenta taking over and symptoms seem to fade at this point.

So scared but with only 48 hours until my scan I am feeling a little bit more positive than I have felt in weeks! 🙏🏼

I have mine tomorrow at 13+2 and I'm terrified. We were fine at 11+1 but after 5 losses and no DC yet, prescan anxiety is horrendous. Best of luck to you x

What does DC mean? I’m new to this forum, I need to find a bible with all the abbreviations 😅

@BabyD6 DC is Mumsnet term for darling children I think haha.

Still nauseaus and headaches and super sore nipples.

I have mine in Wednesday at exactly 12weeks!
I'm feeling anxious. Having a previous miscarriage in between babies at exactly 12 weeks!

I had my scan this week at 12w2d. Finally feel like I can relax a little I've been so paranoid and worried that something will go wrong :( today's the first morning in about 8wks that I've not had my head in the toilet throwing up....hope that means this morning sickness is going away!

I had my 12 week scan on Friday. I was so anxious before hand that I cried all the way there in the car.

I have been really unwell for most of the first trimester but half way through week 10 that started to dissipate. The only thing I have now is tiredness and some food aversions.

I’m sure everything will be great with your scan but I totally understand the anxiety.

@vix_85 Yes, I searched for abbreviations on here and there was a really helpful list with them all on here. I’ve not really had many symptoms.. Only really had constipation/gas and my boobs have grown massively. Not had any sickness or anything. I’d say the last 4 days my body has felt normal! Haven’t had any twinges in my belly! Can’t wait until tomorrow!! This time in 24 hours I’ll be having my scan 🙏

@Mamaoffourtobe Ahh good luck! This is what I am most scared of with my scan tomorrow! I pray everything will be ok for both of us 🙏

@J2023xx Good luck! My scan is tomorrow at 9am! I am so nervous but do feel a little more confident the last few days as there is absolutely nothing I can do! 🙏🏼

@em3392 Ah glad you’re all ok! I am so nervous for tomorrow! This is my first pregnancy so since finding out at 5+3 I have been waiting for this moment so I can have some reassurance that everything is ok! My partner is so excited but I am constantly having to bring him down a notch! In my head I kinda feel like prepare for worst but hope and pray for the best! I know I shouldn’t be to negative but I just want everything to be so perfect and feel like I can’t get excited until I’ve had my scan tomorrow! Hopefully your morning sickness has gone now 🙌🏼

@Puddle13 I think I will be the same tomorrow! I am already a bag of nerves this morning!! Luckily the hospital is only 5 minutes away 😄 Can’t wait to hopefully have some reassurance! 🙏🏼

I jinxed it, after I posted my reply I went to brush my teeth and was sick at the same time, lovely 🤮 let us know how it goes tomorrow!

@BabyD6 best of luck, always good when it’s in the morning rather than having to wait throughout the day. Mine is 11:40 tomorrow, just want it to hurry up! X

@BabyD6 how did you get on? you sound similar to me with no symptoms (other than ridiculous bloating and constipation 😣) but it is also making me worry a bit! I have mine on Friday and will also be bang on 12 weeks.

I had an awful nights sleep! Was up at 3am crying with worry. Think I probably had about 2 hours sleep last night in total, but feel so much better now. I don’t want to say ‘try not to worry’ because so many people said this to me and it didn’t help at all haha, but it helped me by thinking what will be will be and there’s nothing you can change by worrying… I hope everything goes well for you on Friday ❤️

I totally relate to this. I spent the entire car journey on the way to the 12 week scan crying and had a terrible nights sleep. Everything was absolutely fine and even if it hadn’t been, like you said, there was literally nothing I could do about it.

@J2023xx Yes feel so much better! Still a little nervous but think that’s because we’re starting to tell people now! But everything seemed really good today, so very happy..

Everything was well. Teeny little been bopping around 🥰 I went in 12 weeks and came out 13+1 jumped a whole week whoop! So due march 12th!
