So I just found out I am pregnant yesterday, according to my cycle I am 4 weeks today. This afternoon I noticed when I bend down a tugging/pulling sensation in the top left of my belly (above belly button) is this normal? Does anyone know what this is? I didn't have this with my son so a little concerned. It doesn't hurt just an uncomfortable feeling. This evening I've noticed it happening when I laugh too or sudden movements. Always the same spot... only happens when I'm moving not if I'm just lying there...

This is very normal. Your ligaments and muscles are starting to loosen and shift already, mildly, of course, and the sensations can feel very odd. It is also very common to have gas and bloating issues in early pregnancy that can cause odd sensations. Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Wow I have this! It feel as if something is being pulled but it’s not painful, just feels like something inside is about to open up or come apart. I never had this with my first at all!

I spoke to my midwife about these weird sensations and she said it’s normal - they are ligaments stretching. I think I will raise this again as someone in another threat suggested asking your midwife to refer you to physio.
