Spotting before periods, cramps throughout cycle

For the past 3 months I have had spotting 3-4 days before my period starts, this is very light and inconsistent, then my period will start.

I have also been experiencing cramps, aches and almost like a burning feeling down below where I'd imagine my ovaries/uterus is.

Been to the doctors but blood tests/urine seems to be fine. Awaiting an ultrasound.

Currently trying to conceive so worried this all will effect it.

Have you had your progresterone levels checked and if so are they normal? That can be a big cause of spotting before period and is of course needed to sustain a pregnancy

Yeah I was wondering this but then not sure if it would cause cramps all over my cycle also.

Have a feeling the doctors won't test and may have to go private. Have noticed some online DIY test kits so may look into that!

@Bubblegum13 how come you don't think your docs will do the blood test? I'm not sure re the cramps although I think it's pretty normal to get mild cramps a couple of days before period starts (I get them as well).

I've already had blood tests but they didn't include that and at the time I didn't think to ask.

I've been referred for a scan so waiting for that, think I may phone and see if I can get more blood tests.

I've had spotting before my period for many years. Can't remember it happening before my first, but I've had it since. No idea if it's contributed to infertility though as it's taken us 5 years to conceive no.2, but I'm now 33 weeks and had spotting before BFP and on and off for the first few weeks- no cause found in any fertility tests.
It's been suggested since that I could have endometriosis which might line up with cramps (I'd get them from ovulation onwards)
