5w2d Ultrasound

I had a 5w2d ultrasound & all they saw was the gestational sac (had scan early because of miscarriages). The tech said not to be alarmed because she wouldn't expect to see much more than that, that early anyways & if we did, we'd be lucky. Anyone have a scan that early? What did you see?

Just the sack! Way too early! We saw a heartbeat at 6+1! Don't worry!

That early, you wouldn't see anything else.
By 6 weeks there should be a fetal pole and heartbeat

I had one at 5+1 just the yolk sac and they said they thought they could see the start of what was likely the fetal pole. X

I’ve just had an ultrasound at 5w3d to rule out ectopic. We could only see a gestational sac, no yolk or fetal pole. We have another scan booked in so currently waiting for that which is hard!

The tech reassured me that it was extremely common to not see anything else & if we did, we'd have been lucky!

@LovelySatanist yes I'm afraid that's too early to see anything else. At 5w4 I saw yolk sac and a possible fetal pole, at 6w1 day saw flicker of heart beat. A day or 2 makes a huge difference at that stage.
