hello.
i have just had a positive test yesterday and again this morning which is very exciting as have been ttc for 6 months now.

how do you normally test for reassurance over the next 8 weeks or so? Is it the line tests and make sure they are darker?

also- I have a spa day booked in 4 weeks time, I know not to do the sauna steam room etc, but can I go ahead with my back massage?

thank you- very scared and nervous

I did mine with the same test- first response. And took the test first thing in the morning at the same time every 48 hours for the first week.
I guess the pool/spa situation would be up to you, they do say it's safe but if I'd been trying for a baby for 6 months I'd probably try to chill pool side and socialise than going for lots of swims (unless you've swam pre pregnancy and your muscles are strong etc)

Also.

Massive congratulations xx

I've never tested beyond a week and never continuously for 8 weeks. I think that testing so much doesn't tel you anything you don't already know and actually think it makes you feel less reassured not more.

Congratulations on your little one.

Once you've got your positive I wouldn't keep testing. That's only going to make you feel stressed and as mentioned before it won't give you any in depth information. Try to just relax and enjoy the feeling of being pregnant. Congratulations! Check with the spa about the back massage, it depends which essential oils etc they use x

Huge congratulations! As others have said, don't keep testing, it's actually a sure fire way to end up more stressed and anxious.

Spa day wise, the advice is no massages in the first trimester (not even maternity specific ones) so I'd give it a miss if I were you and just enjoy chilling out poolside x
