Hi ladies
sorry to ask another question but really confused around the process of UTI’s in pregnancy … I had a urine sample done start of week and told infection was seen so to start antibiotics, results came back from lab and all clear so they said stop taking them.
had to go triage last night and they said leukocytes plus 3 was shown in my sample so to re start the antibiotics again …. I explained the lab result from start of the week was clear but Dr said just take them to be sure.
really confused around this approach to antibiotics in pregnancy - I do get how important it is to treat UTI’s, but I don’t really like taking tablets unnecessarily at the best of times let alone in pregnancy. Is this common to experience?
