How/when to take off c-section steri strips?

I had my c-section 10 days ago. Today the community midwife said that I can remove the steri strips that cover the stitched up incision wound. They don't look like easy to remove to me... any tips on how to do it pls? Thanks!

They will fall off naturally by themselves, but if you want to hasten the process, get them wet. Best in the shower rather than a bath. Don't scrub, pull, or pick at them. They might not fall off straight away, but they they'll lose a ton of their stickiness.

Thanks! I prefer them to fall off naturally... but not sure when that will happen?

They should have fallen off by themselves by the end of two weeks. If they haven't, up to you if you want to leave it longer or get them wet and remove that way

I was in hospital for a week after my c-section and the nurses were keen to remove the dressing before going home. Think it might have been removed on something like day 6. They told me to get it soaked in the shower and to loosen the edges myself then someone would come to help me remove it. Once the edges lifted, it seemed fairly easy for the nurse to remove. When I was home, community midwives also asked if I'd had it removed or needed assistance doing it.
