I had a sweep yesterday and been having cramps and browny red discharge but nothing really exciting happening. I was 1cm dialted at the sweep and she could feel babys head when she was in there.

I'm booked for monitoring today and then induction on Sunday if nothing happens. I had a great labour with my first, induced and went into first stage about 12 hours later, full labour 18 hours later and child was here 24 hours after induction. Just gas and air and fabulous midwife support.

What are people's experiences with 2nd inductions? Were they just as quick or more painful? She said I can still have a waterbirth if I'm induced which has left me a bit more relieved but wanting to know (even though I know everyone and every birth is different) people's experiences with multiple induced deliveries

Just want to add. I had a really positive induction with my first which I know people don't always have and I was very lucky first time round.

I had two inductions - first was because my first was two weeks over. Second was because my waters had gone but labour hadn't started. Both labours were quick for me - second one was induced about 11am and baby was here by 3.45! Second birth was great.

Best of luck with it all!

Thank you! I'm going to sound very self absorbed and selfish but I really hope it goes quickly as I just want to get back to my son.

Very aware that anything can happen so not expecting to be home as early as I was last time but just hoping for things to go as smoothly as last time.

My first was absolutely awful and second was pretty great. They were both for the same reason - waters went and my body didn't react at all. The second one was much quicker and everything about it was easier, especially the recovery time.

I was induced twice. First time labour was 4 hours from when they broke my waters. Second time, at my request, they held off giving me the syntocin and so it was 6 hours. If anything a bit too fast really!

My first induction took 8hrs & my second 45 minutes
