Blood tinged discharge 6 weeks pregnant

I am 6 weeks pregnant and as of today have got some pink / brownish tinged discharge when I’ve wiped or then on a pad.

I haven’t had sex or any exams to explain why this might be happening. I have contacted my GP and EPU have offered me a scan but first appointment they have is Wednesday.

So in the meantime I am looking for others experience. Has anyone had similar?
Is this the start of a miscarriage or should I not be worried?

I have had mild back ache and cramps and am feeling very bloated, which has been the same for the past few days.

Hi @Holliedollie21 sorry that no one has replied. I'm in the exact same boat, scan tomorrow with the epu I should be roughly 6w 2d or so. I ovulate late so by lmp I'd be 7w 3d.

I've had discharge like that and a bit redder never a lot though similar amounts to you. Picture was last night and I completely freaked out

Hi @roro87, I ended up paying for a private scan as had some more bleeding the following day and couldn’t bear waiting to for 5 days. I was so shocked but they found a heartbeat straight away and baby looks fine, measuring exactly as I expected and when I ovulated. I’ve attached some pics of the more blood I got - it never went quite as red as yours and was more pink / dark brown. But the sonographer did say that 80% of pregnancies have a bleed and the baby is fine! I thought that was loads so it must be common. And she said not to worry again unless it got a lot more and was deep red. I really hope you get the same result as me and that info puts your mind at ease a bit. Thinking of you and keep me posted xx

Oh thank you for replying. I'll be honest and say when I wiped it was pink tinged and I checked then internally so not sure if it would have been that red by the time it got out. I'm really hoping it's a good outcome. I had pink on Wednesday and my hcg had doubled by the next day so that put my mind at ease. I'm so anxious as it took us 2 years for this we had failed ivf where I was told my eggs may not be good enough.

Yes I am it is because of that it looked brighter red. And the doubling hcg sounds really positive! I really hope everything works out do you 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️

All was OK today at my scan, they put me on progesterone because of the bleeding but said everything looks good.

Hi all, I'm 6 weeks today. Had brown and pink spotting ever since bfp. I have a scan tomorrow, will update you all on how it goes!
